A creative child at heart, Jennie Kooh knew she wanted to run her own business from an early age. After life in her 9 to 5 job became too comfortable, she decided to take on a new challenge for herself and try something new. After landing on the world of baking and pastries, she packed her bags for culinary school and she’s never looked back since. “I’m blessed to have learned from talented chefs who helped form the foundation of my pastry techniques but over the past nine years, most of my growth later came from continuous trial, error and refinement.”
Kooh calls it the best decision of her twenties and we really have to agree! Her love for the finer details and gifting has built LOUIE PÂTISSERIE into the elegant and luxurious brand it is today. Their menu is internationally kept thoughtful rather than extensive, with each product undergoing a careful process of research, testing, and refinement before being introduced. Quality over quantity has always been at the core of the brand, from the flavour balance and texture to packaging, presentation, and storage guidance, ensuring every detail meets their exact standards. “Word of mouth helped us grow and we are grateful to have loyal regulars who have supported us from the beginning since 2017” she adds.
LOUIE’s specialities are artisanal desserts created for gifting; their annual festive collections for Chinese New Year, Hari Raya as well as Mid-Autumn Festival, are the perfect way to show someone you care (especially if that someone is yourself!). With quality at the heart of her creations, Kooh says she wants people to feel the thoughtfulness and care that went into the product, even before they open the box. Each festive season has special products baked to invoke the essence of the celebration; Chinese New Year menus feature the traditional Pineapple Tart, and buttery Sablè Cookies, are thoughtfully developed with subtle floral and aromatic notes, giving traditional treats a nice twist while staying true to cultural flavours.
Louie’s Hari Raya gifting options like the 2026 collection has variations from the classic Pineapple Tart Box, the beautifully wrapped Seraya Furoshiki Box, the charming Riang Gift Basket and the cute Temu Basket, doesn’t only make a striking centrepiece at any house, but also contains Louie’s signature sweet buttery treats from the Original Cheese Pineapple Tarts, and Sablè cookie flavours from Osmanthus, Dark Chocolate Almond and Coffee Hazelnut. Every year the festive collection changes and includes a curated mix of festive treats, all packed thoughtfully to be gifting-friendly while reflecting the festive spirit. Their gorgeous Madeleine Tower is a special treat great for unique gifting option — imagine seeing this towering delight especially on a hantaran tray! Mad for Mid-Autumn goodies?
