Going beyond Brunei for the first time, I was lucky enough to fly one of my dream destinations: South Korea. Packed with entertainment, sightseeing places and good food — the fun does not run out in the cultural yet modern city of Seoul.
THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
LOTTE WORLD TOWER
You can’t stand on clouds but you can go to Lotte World Tower to have a taste of how it feels to be up in the sky! With a height of 555 meters (123 floors!), this tower is not for the weak-hearted. A speedy lift will take you to the top of the tower — the place where you can see Seoul’s buildings like they are toy miniatures.

ICE, ICE BABY!
Sulbing (Hongdae)
One thing you cannot miss out on trying in South Korea ia one of their popular deserts — bingsu. This fluffy, sweet and milky shaved ice is much better than any other ice cream with its flavourful and smooth taste. Sulbing, a well-known bingsu shop is located in the bustling neighbourhood of Hongdae. Their Melon Strawberry bingsu was really delish; sweet, creamy and smooth and did I mention how big the portion is? You can share it with two more people. Do note that the menu will change according to which fruits are available during certain season.

FEEL THE POP
KBS Music Bank
Paging all the K-pop lovers! Open to everyone but limited to luck, I managed to get a ticket to go to KBS’ weekly music live show ‘Music Bank’. With that week’s star-packed lineup; from LE SSERAFIM, DAY6, Baekhyun to my favourite idol group, ZEROBASEONE, needless to say I had the time of my life cheering and enjoying the performances.
