The Workshop, Kota Kinabalu

The Workshop

by Pamela Fletcher

With its eye-catching façade and art-centric décor, The Workshop will tempt both your taste buds and your hipster heart. A fusion of bistro style food with a South African influence ensures a unique experience in this beautiful café. In the heart of The Workshop is its artisanal food and coffee. Its range of Puro coffee with beans roasted in Belgium, where the company has been active for more than 212 years, is organic and certified by the Fairtrade Organisation. Puro coffee funds the WLT (World Land Trust) and has already purchased more than 18,000 hectares of forest in Sandakan to preserve it for the orangutans. Truly a place serving coffee with a conscience.

The Workshop is open daily from 8am to 10pm. Follow them on Facebook here or visit them at their location:

Lot 19, Lorong Dewan, Kota Kinabalu
